SPRING / SUMMER 2001 NEWSLETTER
On December 18, 2000 a female goat owned by a family gave birth to 3 kids. The mother didn't have enough milk to feed all 3 so the family asked us if we would take this little white goat and bottle-feed her to see if we could save her.
This is Freddie, a young pigmy goat that we recently took in that needs a home. We would have named him Elvis because of his pompadour if we did not already have another goat named Elvis.
The Hampton Classics (the last week in August) started out wonderful, the weather was good and the donations and sponsorships of the animals was just fine. .
THE STORY OF OSCAR THE PIG (This is a true story)
A pig is called a boar. On the loose in Center Moriches in mid February 2006, a woman sees this loose pig in her yard and called the police. When they arrive, they found a 150-pound potbelly pig with tusks that had grown around out of its mouth into his cheeks.
FALL 2001/WINTER 2002 NEWSLETTER
Ringing in the New Year...Our Mama goats (Suzie Q, Priscilla, Jill, Vicky, Losac, Chewey and Snoobie) brought some babies into the world and we're happy to report that already two of them have been adapted out to good homes.
FALL 2001/WINTER 2002 NEWSLETTER
The little bull, Lucky still has his good fortune, but is hardly little these days! He's very playful and sometimes likes to head butt, but he's a good boy and seems to understand when we tell him he is a little too big for that china shop..
WINTER / SPRING 2002 NEWSLETTER
Winter fortunately was a mild one. A few cold days but nothing compared to last year. The unfortunate part was that since nothing really froze for any extended period of time, lots of parasites survived thru the winter and that is rough on the animals. .
